We are the new "kids" on the block, but our love for labradoodles is unsurpassed! We have benefited from the experience of more well known breeders and reaped the rewards of their breeding program. Ralph & I knew we wanted to begin our breeding program with a chocolate girl, so we took our time to find the right one.
Our goal was to represent solid, well-known bloodlines. We launched our search by investigating all Breeder Members of ALAA. Finally, we narrowed down the possibilities, in part, based on geography. We knew it would be invaluable to be within driving distance of the breeder we selected. However, our choice came down to the best parentage for our program. Extensive exploration paid off! Our choice? Tarheel's Cleo, daughter of Spring Creek's Pretty Peggy & Rutlands Apache, both multigeneration Australian Labradoodles registered with ALAA was born on 8/16/12 and came home with us in October, 2012. She has brought us an abundance of joy and laughter, has become a wonderful exercise partner, and in October, 2014 gave us a lovely little girl, Lola! Life is Good! Fast Forward 2017: Cleo retired in 2016 after giving us many beautiful puppies who in turn gave us lovely extended families in TN, VA, MA, GA, NC, and SC. We enjoy maintaining a connection with each family and especially look forward to receiving updates and photos of our doodles. Currently our program includes 2 of Cleo's puppies: Lola and Loretta as well as her granddaughter, Izzy. In 2016 we were fortunate to add a "Parti" girl to our program, Lucy! She is the daughter of Tarheel's Roxie and Rugby at Southern Charm. We LOVE our labradoodles! |
