When Cleo was old enough to start going up and down the stairs to our 2nd floor, she would bound UP the stairs, but faced with that steep uncarpeted descent, she was timid. Here is a good step by step article about learning how to help your puppy overcome a fear of stairs by Jolanta Benal, Dog Trainer.

The Whole Dog journal is a wonderful resource and includes information on puppy training, nutrition, how to choose the right food, and canine health to name a few. A free subscription will automatically provide a weekly tip. Check out this article about teaching your dog to fetch!

The first week your puppy comes home is paramount in his continued development, a window of opportunity that should not be missed! We recommend downloading this puppy socialization/habituation schedule and systematically practicing each simple, but important, exercise.
